What counts as an essay

- Answering more questions to strengthen it, or rebuilding it, stays the same essay.
- A different prompt, like a new supplement, is a new essay.

Read the Refund PolicyQuestions about paying
Is this a subscription?
No. Every plan is a one-time payment. Nothing renews and there is nothing to cancel. The Season Pass simply ends after 12 months.
How do refunds work?
Email support@tomfiction.com within 7 days of buying and we refund the full amount to the card or wallet you paid with. No questions asked.
Can a parent pay?
Yes. On the essay page, choose “Ask a parent to pay” to send a link or show a QR code. A parent pays on their own phone, and the essay opens on the student's device.
Parents can also buy the Season Pass from this page. Use your student's email at checkout so they can restore the pass on their own device.
Is there help for students who can't afford it?
Yes. If you qualify for a college application fee waiver, email support@tomfiction.com and we'll send a free Season Pass. We don't ask for documents.
Is it allowed by my school?
Maple asks questions and builds your essay only from your answers, with spelling and punctuation fixed. Many colleges have no rule against that kind of help, but some restrict any AI help with application essays, even brainstorming or organizing.
Check each school's policy, and your teacher's for class essays, before you use any tool. Your authorship record shows exactly how your essay was made if anyone asks.
I bought on another device. How do I get it here?
Choose “Already bought? Restore” on any essay page and enter the email you used at checkout. We'll email a sign-in link that opens your purchases on this device.
